— Where it started
I'm Chris, an Engineering Manager with over 20 years in engineering. In that time I managed 1,000+ asset sites, juggled breakdowns, audits, and investigations, and built safety systems under pressure while the production line kept moving.
The paperwork never stopped. Risk assessments written up at 7pm. Service reports typed up at the kitchen table that evening. Variation orders left until the job was finished and the scope argument had already started. I built Zylair to close that gap.
It started as a personal project. It became something bigger: a small suite of tools designed so the average contractor can finish their admin on site, not at the kitchen table.

Every Zylair tool starts from the same question: what is the actual thing the engineer needs to have done before they can leave the site? We build backwards from that.
